Pacing Better

One thing I've started to do at least for today in planning what I want to do is taking my time to pace with sections, which I've denied myself doing from my perfectionism.  I also made sure that some things only needed phrases while others needed full, coherent sentences.  I hope that I will finish what I need to do without pushing myself over an imagined deadline I didn't make, while being fake to myself with pretending to multitask and failing to accomplish what I need to do in an effective, timely manner.  Nevertheless, I want to look forward to going beyond planning and actually execute what I want to do with the mistakes to learn from and grow.  I find myself afraid of making mistakes and still make them!  I am glad that I finally got an Ellipsus account to use the templates for writing my stories to pace myself over time instead of so much at once or even over a few days.

Case in point, I tried drawing and planning a painting I want to do of Kaoru Orihara from Oniisama e...  Funny thing is, that even though I started the preliminary painting stage in my notebook, I still made the mistake of Kaoru's skintone with a saturated red rather than a neutral midtoned color to begin.  I intend to correct this carefully, but I am glad that I did my mistake on a smaller piece of paper than a larger canvas.  Currently, I'm taking classes on painting that's more of a one-on-one tutoring format, and my teacher has been pretty alright in giving me some advice while letting me have my own space to create well.  Though, I will say that doing a bit of digital art that can function like paint can get one used to it for a while, I need to make sure those same skills I'm used to doing in Krita translates over well to bring the same effect without fail.  That's what I hope to achieve for the next few weeks to practice traditionally with acrylic paint (and some mixed media).
